Chelsea transfer news: Manchester United's interest in John Stones could drive up price to £34m for defender

Chelsea have been frustrated in their efforts to sign Everton defender John Stones, with a second bid of £26m turned down on Wednesday.
However, the Premier League champions are prepared to bid up to £30m which includes a series of add-ons.
This is still short of Everton's £34m valuation for the England centre back and the Merseyside club are hopeful that interest from Manchester United could drive his price up.
