The event was put together by composite online and offline retail chain, Yudala, to showcase its corporate social responsibility initiative, `Gyming with the Stars`, in collaboration with Airtel and Access Bank.
The Chief Executive Officer of Yudala, Mr Dave Ibelegbu, said that the event held at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja, was aimed at encouraging participants to get involved in physical activities and exercise.
Ibelegbu said that this was to help them improve their health and quality of life, therefore, promoting healthy living as a way to love our bodies.
The CEO said that Yudala as a company had passion towards improving the life of Nigerians both physically and financially.
"We are vastly expanding and we want to improve the life of our potential customers by encouraging them to live a healthy life as they create and enjoy their wealth.
“Teaching our customers on the importance of improving fitness and entrepreneurial skills is our way of giving back to our customers and society,” he added.
According to him, although the programme focused on fitness, Yudala made room for the introduction of its YUBOSS scheme.
The scheme, he said, was aimed at entrepreneurship development and wealth creation amongst participants willing to become owners of various businesses.
NAN observed that the event enjoyed a massive turn out of men, women and children of all ages.
The participants were involved in various activities such as Aerobic exercises and stretches coupled with comedy, dance, while gifts which included recharge cards, Yudala jerseys and more were freely distributed.
NAN reports that products from Yudala were also sold at the venue at discounted prices to provide gifts for last minute valentine shoppers.
