Ooni appointed as new Chancellor of UNN

 
The Ooni of Ile-Ife, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has been announced as the new Chancellor of the University of Nigeria (UNN).
According to a statement released by the Ooni's Director of Media, Moses Olafare, the appointment was made on Thursday by President Muhammadu Buhari, Premium Times has reported.
Olafare assured Buhari that the Ooni is ready to take up his responsibilities and use his influence to promote unity and build strong relationships within the university.

While referring to the Ooni's letter of appointment, which was signed by Education Minister Adamu Adamu,  Olafare revealed that Ogunwusi was slected based on his vast experience and management abilities.
The Ooni is set to assume office from the February 20.

Sale of dried meat banned in Maiduguri

  he Borno Government on Friday banned the sale of dried meat in order to curtail the activities of Boko Haram terrorists currently engaged in cattle rusting to fund their operations.
