Nigerian chokes to death on bread at Port Dickson hotel

A Nigerian student choked to death soon after participating in a bread-eating competition during a friend’s birthday party at a hotel here today.

Borokinni, a 32-year-old student of a private college in Selangor, took part in the celebratory contest at about 1.30am.
As soon as the competition ended, he reportedly ran to the rear of the hotel, vomited and lost consciousness.
“His friends rushed him to hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead due to asphyxia (from) choking,” Port Dickson Police chief Supt Zainudin Ahmad said in a statement. -- BERNAMA
